email problem

I have tried:
outlook express
outlook
eudora
incredimail
and other pop3 email clients
I can receive email but can't send. I get the 10600 cannot connect error in every program.
It is not the server settings, it is not the server I am connecting to.
I am thinking spyware has screwed up something.
Anybody help?

If it is spyware you can download adaware from

http://www.lavasoftusa.com

there's a free download there, it seems to do a pretty good job.

yes I am well aware of programs like ad-aware. I have already ran it, and spybot, and a winsock layer repair utility.
the computer has other odd behaivior too which is what makes me think spybot or ad-aware took out a file that was attached to the networking end of the system.
