Email Notification Issues

Hello All,

I have been getting email notifications for each group in my legator server. Soon each group is finished, the notification is sent. No problem.

Than all of a suddent, I am no longer getting the notifications for one single group, while I am getting notifications from all other group.

All groups are on the same legato server.

What is driving me crazy most is why the same notification works fine for some and not for all groups.
protocol failure; got 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for mbouraleh@descartes.com

I assume you are setting this under savegrp completion notification so if some work and others don't you need to look at the underlying email environment.

A simple google search recognizes your error and has many suggestions, just search for "smtpmail +550"

What is driving me crazy is that I don't get the email notification from one particular group while all other groups have no probem with their savegrp completion notifications.

So, all these groups are on the same box, and utilizing the same smtp command.

If there was smtp relates issues or firewall blocks, than I would expect the same impact on all groups.

Is there something that is group depedent that helps the smpt?

Let's take it back to client granularity, see if smtpmail works by setting the notification at the client level within the failing group.
If this works you may want to try creating a new group for these clients and if that works just don't use the original group name. Of course this may not be easily done if you have lots of clients or dependencies on group names within scripts.
