Email notification from an account in a public folder

I am using Outlook 2000. I have a primary account, and I have access to an account in a public folder. I have the options selected in Outlook to notify me when I receive a message in my primary account. It works find. I would like notification of the arrival of a message for the account in the public folder as well. Is there a way to set this up? Thanks.
