Ok, I hope this is a question to which a DNS change is the answer. I have two domains - DomainA.com and DomainZ.com
DomainZ forwards to DomainA for HTTP and it works just fine (if you type in the address shows up as No problem with http traffic.
However, I want the same thing to happen with e-mail without mail going into a DomainZ account and then forwarding from that mail to domainA. If you send to user@domainA.com - it sends email as expected. If you try to send to user@domainZ.com, the following error pops up:
smtp error 553 relaying denied
Both domains are registered through GoDaddy, but the details of an NSLOOKUP are different. Any help on this appreciated.
DomainA
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mx01.1and1.com
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mx00.1and1.com
DomainZ
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mailstore1.secureserver.net
MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = smtp.secureserver.net
