The power button turns on and you can hear it working but there isnt any thing appearing on the screen. I have been doing research on this machine and it was mentioned it might be in sleep mode or I need the o/s software to reboot so to say. Please help Im new to the whole Mac thing!! Thanks

Emac powers up but gets no image on screen

Insert the software install cd that came with the machine and reboot holding down the C key - so the machine boots from the cd. If no picture, it's not sleep mode or other software problem.
