eliminate duplicate numbers

I have an excel spreadsheet I imported into Access. I have a few columns one being first name, last name, id number. I want to eliminate all duplicate id numbers. The table is ordered by ID number.

I also want to eliminate all duplicates in another table which have the same last names. The problem is I have two columns one with first and last name and the other has just last name. How could I eliminate these duplicates using a query? Any other suggestions other than queries I will hear out to. Thanks!
