Can anyone help me troubleshoot this error stated in the subject. It happens periodically.

What should i trouble shoot 1st ?

What is the complete error message? Is there an IP address associated with it?

the IP address id 133.144.3.10. How do i physicall identify what is connected to this?

My guess is it is either a Media card or an MGC card, but that's just a guess. You can do a STAT SERV in ld 117 and then print your superloops in ld 97 and see if that IP address shows up in one of those 2 places, it should.

did a stat serv in ld 117

MGC 133.144.3.10

and prt in ld 97 shows the IP in superloop 096

i can identify which cabinet it is now.

now what ?

also this cabinet is connected via a fiber link to a media converter.
I will try replacingthe media converters 1st.

Is it a remote cabinet? Off premise from the main cabinet? If so it could be an issue in the firewall settings. There is a patch for this. MPLR26557 for a system with CPPM Call Processors.

This patch basically sends a keep alive message to the MGC Card that way the firewall doesn't turn down the port. I have one doing this also. Unfortunately the patch didn't help me. But I have no doubt that it is still a firewall issue.
