Does win98 have a nice easy gui interface for editing path entries (like the environment tab within System on WinNT). Or can it only be done by editing autoexec.bat?
Eds tip was helpful, hence the vote. The msconfig.exe is what i wanted. As for editing the autoexec.bat via msconfig - It seems to allow it on my machine (Win 98SE), so I am not sure which version you are running.
As for which program requires a path. I have installed JDK and it need adding so i could access the java applications in JDK blah blah blah\bin.
Windows ME?, I haven't got it, sorry.
As for the folder thing, thank you, but i think the PATh way is more convenient (for me at least).
I want to agree with reghakr. Probably the only program(s) that would absolutely need a path would be a TSR,
(T)erminate (S)tay (R)esident program. Any thoughts? (He asked cautiously) :-I
Ed Please let me know if the sugestion(s) I provide are helpful to you.
