I have saved the application file as an evt file format onto my desktop. IS there any way to edit some of the application log entries so that I can decrease the file for emailing purposes? I have a 10MB file size limit an even ziping the file up will not decrease the size to below 10MB as it is 80 MB now. I just want to delete several of the entires. Thanks, Intuity

Editing Event Viewer Application file Size

This may be covered by the the Event Viewer Help file under the heading "To archive an event log". The only option may be to save it has a text file and edit that. Otherwise it seems to want to save "all or nothing" if you save it as a .evt file.
You could just copy the .evt file to CD and send the CD?
Maybe yo could use the Properties of your .evt file from within the Event Viewer and make future files a smaller size?
