Edit .txt File using Word.Application Object

I am using Word.Application Object to edit word documents in browser.I am able to load .doc,.txt,.rtf documents in my activex viewer window. While editing .txt documents in activex viewer i am not able.
I am able to edit and save .doc in activex viewer.

Could u pls help me how to edit .txt using Word.Application object.
