Hello Guys,

I use a Small Office Edition with 3.2.17 and the Phone Manager IPRO.
I have an onboard Soundcard and a Speed Link Headset (non USB). When I speak into the Headset then I can hear my own voice (like a bad echo) in my headset. The “ear speakers” are very good insulated. The IPO is OK. Is it possible that this is a problem of my onboard soundcard or Headset or Headset driver?

Regards ALF13

If you get echo on in-house calls it's probaby your settings.

It could be your sound settings that do this, try playing with the mic/speaker volume to see if it gets better.

What makes the echo canceling (The IPRO? / The Headset? / The Headset driver? / Windows? / The Soundcard driver? / The Soundcard?) ?

Or only the IPO via VCM Board?

yuor pc can send your own mic audio to your own spkrs. make sure this is turned off, use the mic, and headset via another application to verify this is not happening.

then look at the ipo settings when you get to that point of not hearing your own mic in your ears in pc applications. for instance, sound recoder app on pc to test.

Did you try your headset with other application (skype/msn) to make sure its okay?

If you're using analog lines, you would probably get the same echo using an IP Phone...mostly at the start of the call before the adjustments are made by the system (echo training)

Customers using a PRI + IPRO are all working fine... I did give up selling any voip setup with ip office & analog lines.

Search the posts, there is a few about echo...but I tried everything... You can lower the volume of the analog lines buts its more a workaround than a fix....I don't know if its related to Canadian lines here but I don't think so!

bye!

Thank You for your good help!!
