Hi,

I am currently trying to set up EC500 for someone who works in the US. Normally in the UK our prefix is the 0, then the rest of the number in the phone number. I have tried every plausible iteration to put a US mobile in and it is not working. Does anyone know why this might be? The station the EC500 is running on is also based in the US.

Thanks in advance

In the US and Canada a local call can be 7 or 10 digits depending on the area due to overlapping area codes for the same geographic region. In some areas 1 and 10 digits can be a local call
Almost sll long distance within the US and Canada is 1 and the 10 digit number.

Is the phone being used for EC500 using local trunks in the US?
If so, you would put in the mobile number as it would be dialed from the location, either a 7 or 10 digit local number. If it's a long distance number put the 1 in the Dial Prefix column. If you have ARS in the Trunk Selection, it will automatically insert the ARS access code.

In this office, if the ARS first choice isn't using an ISDN or SIP trunk group, instead of putting in "ARS" under Trunk Selection, put in the ISDN trunk group number.

First of all, do a list trace on the station and see where it is failing, as it could be for all sorts of reasons... maybe purely that the call is trying to route over an incorrect trunk...
