Easy question but i'm stumped

Hi
I'm trying to make a template but when i create
an editable region and type some text then press
return to start a new line it does double line
spacing which i dont want. If i just carry on
typing in a bid to force it to go to the next
line it just keeps on going across the page.

Or if it doesnt do that it does this right across the page

How can i stop this?

Also, when i create tables i want to type from the top left hand corner but the cursor starts in the centre. I know this is bound to happen but how can i start with the cursor in the top left hand corner.

Stupid questions i know but i'd be grateful if i could get some advice.

Use <SHIFT> and <ENTER> instead of just ENTER. If you use ENTER it creates a <P> tag in the code and skips a line. If you use SHIFT-ENTER it creates a <BR> tag which will not skip a line. *************

I forgot to mention, on my templates im tryin to have a table with a menu on the left hand side. This is where i want to start in the top left hand corner but because i dont have a clue the emnu starts half way down the page instead of at the top left.

You must select the table (right click) and the table properties will appear in the proberties box. Make sure the table to left justified. Then, click in the cell of the table where your menu is (just in empty area) and set the HORZ drop down to LEFT and the VERT to TOP. That will orient that table and cell to the top left ad thus the menu. you may also need to set the alignment of the menu itself via the toolbox that comes up when you single left click on it. *************
