easy cd creator install error

howdy! i have a oem install disk from gateway for easy cd creator v4.02/directcd 3.01. i have installed both programs many times in the past without a problem. i have re-formatted hd many times and have always been able to install these programs .after my latest format..( new wd hd install )the easy cd creator hangs during installation. error message says" an error occurred during installation: jewel case creator". and thats it. only thing different i can think of is new nvidia drivers in this system...of course the harddrive is new too.tried numerous times to install and get this same error. any suggestions? dumdog

Why don't you installa new version of Easy CD, i had some Problems with version 4, but i update my Software to a 5 version, and look good, you can try to do.

I many cases, that kind of errors, are insuficient system resources. Easy CD is a Heavy Application.

thanks for ur suggestion yamcha..guess i dont know how to update. i think because its a bundled program[ came with the gateway software ,] i`m not qualified to get upgrade for free. did download this upgrade but it says "no program detected" when i click on it. thats not the exact error message, but its essentially what its telling me.anyway, if i cant get it installed, how can i upgrade? the curious thing to me is i have installed many times with no problem.running win98/512 ram/athlon 1 ghz.geforce3 graphics...and lots of free space. not many programs installed....?? thx for ur response, dog
