Embarassed that I cannot remember how to turn off the "AutoCorrect" type function in A2k.

For example, I will enter "ADSQ" into a form's text box, and the program will helpfully - but annoyingly! since we need our acronyms etc - turn it into "Adsq".

I am not seeing the control for this but am quite certain it's child's play.

Thanks!!

There is no such option in A2K under Tools - Options - General.

Thank you.

Sorry - that was badly-phrased.

What I meant to say in response to the linked tip:

"Next goto Tools-Options & select the General tab. On this tab there is an option group called 'Name Autocorrect'. If this is enabled, disable it."

is that there IS such an option, but that it is NOT ticked off on my database. apparently something else is auto formatting my entries.

this is a project I inheireted. Anything else that you can think of that might be formatting? There is nothing in the form that I can see, nor in the table.

Sorry I sent you in the wrong direction!

It IS confusing - and part of it depends on whether you're working in plain Access or an Access Project.

How's about looking at Tools / Autocorrect - when the window opens see if you have the box checked beside Replace text as you type.
