In ip office 5, to program the speed dials on the 1416 or dm32, you have to do it through the administrator manager software. Is there an easier way so the client can do it themselves maybe in a newer Verizon of ip office???

Ran into this problem a few months back.
Easiest way to do it is through manager, but you can also use the self-administer feature on the 1416. Program internal speed dials with the User BLF feature under self administer. I don't remember the exact menu that self administer resides though. I think it's telephone programming or phone user or something along those lines.

The "newer" versizon IPO is just an IPO with a different name on it!!!
The admin button works but if programming BLF is too much then you better find some other job i guess :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I believe it depends on which edition your ip office is on, but heres the jist of it:

Features>phone user>self administer

Then:
Abbreviated dial for an external speed dial

User BLF(busy lamp field) or directory for internal speed dial and user status

Internal auto answer for paging an extension directly on their speakerphone
