We have a G3si r11 and old Definity Audix. When the super's phone rings and he's not there, it rings in the nurse station and then goes to his audix (cov path). However, when ringing in the nurse station, the person would pick it up and transfer to the super's extension, and instead of going to his audix, it would follow the same cov path and come back to the nurse station. My solution was to have the nurse station dial the 4507 to get into audix and then the super's extension to get to his voice mail. Is there a simpler solution in the cov path or super's station setup?

You have two choices one translate a feature access code for "transfer into voicemail". Or assign a button on the station "goto cover". I would suggest Transfer into voicemail if indeed the call was received via call pickup. To use you press transfer then the new access code then transfer again.

Hope this helps

I agree with Ed on the first choise. The "transfer to voicemail access code" is what we use. You can find the feature access codes for this by doing a "display features". It will be listed there for you. You would then have the nurse station hit transfer ?? the access code and transfer.

So all they have to do is hit transfer, the access code and then transfer again. They don't have to dial the audix extension?

We usually program the dial string to go to voice mail as a personal abb. dial entry, then program a button on the phone to access the personal abb. dial.

take two of these and call me in the morning

We do have an access code for transfering to voice mail. the problem is it doesn't work. You hit the transfer button and then the code, but the system acts like you've dialed the wrong number. Come to think of it, I believe a few of our access codes don't work. I don't know why.

Are the access codes that don't work have anything in common? For example are the non working access codes all start with the same key press (*21 or #0) etc. If so check your dial plan to ensure that the * or # or any leading digit is defined as FAC.

Hope this make sense

Our transfer to audix code is #8, and # is defined as FAC with a length of 2.

Try dialing transfer #8# transfer...

It may be timing out.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for all of the responses. Since the #8 transfer to audix does not work, I programmed 2 buttons on the nurse station phone. Button #1 transfers to audix and button #2 dials the audix extension. The procedure is [Transfer....Button#1.......Button#2.........Transfer]

Quick question. Is the Audix connected via Mode Code or via a link? If it's mode code the transfer into voicemail will not work. To use the goto cover button the sequence is transfer--- original ext--- gotocover--- transfer. The way you are doing it now and the gotocover is the same amount of keypresses. Toss up

Hope this makes sense

Hey Ed. Don't know how Audix is connected. These are analog phones, I see what you mean about assigning a go to cover button. Any way to tell how Audix is connected? Thanks.

Rick

Try a list link if that don't work try li data and look for a entry like this:
82910 04C1301 pdm AUDIX 5 1 1
And
82930 01C0502 x.25 AUDIX 1 2 1
DATA MODULE

Data Extension: 82930 Name: AUDIX
Type: x.25 Remote Loop-Around Test? n
Port: 01C0502 COR: 2 Destination Number: external
Baud Rate: 9600 TN: 1 Establish Connection? y
Endpoint Type: adjunct DTE/DCE: dte Connected Data Module:
Link: 1 Enable Link? y Error Logging? y

Permanent Virtual Circuit? y Highest PVC Logical Channel: 64
Switched Virtual Circuit? n

This is my link to audix.
Hope this helps

List link command is not valid. Li data brings up a list of data modules, does not look like your screen. Modules have ports, extensions, and are type Netcon.

Hi,

What worked for me may work for you, easy too. Just have the nurse press send-all-calls button before she transfers the call to the station. Then it wont come to her anymore. Hope that helps.

Heather

Just a note, the TRANSFER TO AUDIX code will only work if the call comes to the station via a cover path. As it does to your nurses station.

So if you are just making test calls that did not come to you thru a cover path, this code will not work.

Good points, gang. The super is sometimes in the nurse station, and when he is, he will take the call. The TRANSFER TO AUDIX will not work at the nurse station either. Still sticking with my 2 programmed buttons on the nurse station phone.

Agree with you. This was our work around: 1.Create an x ported station and cover to voice mail. We labeled it Direct to VMail. 2.Create an autoattendant in Audix that collects the digits and send to endusers voice mail. 3. Go in and record a message in the mailbox asking the user to please enter the extension you wish to leave a message for. Done. When you want to transfer without ringing the phone, transfer or dial the new extension, enter the extension number, then transfer again. Works like a champ.

Hop on the buss. Yeah, we have an autoattendant also, but not set up to end users voice mail, it's set up to ring the extension you enter. Thanks for your input.
