E8601 failed to connect to agent the program called an unsupported DOS

I have received this message the past 2 days when trying to do a brick level backup of exchange.

E8601 Failed to Connect agent. (Agent=\\server\dbaxchg2, EC=Windows Error 2502: The program below called an unsupported MS-DOS function.

I have checked the services are running, and that security is as it should be on the various accounts, have monkeyed with them for a bit, but I'm getting no where fast on this issue, as it's the weekend now, I'd like to see them run a good full backup. Any suggestions. The MS-DOS part of this message is what's really throwing me off as to where to even start trying to solve the problem.

Ensure you do no have any issues with the ADS.
The Mail box of the account used to configure the exchange agent should not be hidden from the GAL.

That did it, the account was hidden. I would never have figured that because it has run successfully for 2 weeks now. I wonder what caused the change

I Have the same problem.
I already removed the flag in the account that I used for Backup server Exchange. I had installed the Exchange agent with my account.
I'm Domain admin.
My problem persist.
