I am working on an Avaya IP Office server edition v9.1.4 with E129 phones, v1.25.2.26. According to the E129 user guide I should be able to press the menu button and then Logout but that does not seem to be the case. I have searched through the menu options and cannot find a logout option. I am guessing that there is something in the setup that might enable it but I have not been able to locate it. My customer has several E129's as part of a call center and wants the user's to logout of their phones at the end of the day. Any help is appreciated.

login = *35*extension*logincode#
logout = *36
there is no logoff button or menu entry
buy a decent phone if you want a button

Thanks intrigrant, I agree and we are trying to get them on 9608's. I did try the short codes but ran into an issue. I was able to logout using *36 but when I try to log back in, I get a busy when I press the * after entering the ext#. It doesn't let me enter the login code, any ideas? I can log a 9608 in and out using those codes so I know they work.
I pulled it up in SSA and it appears that once I logout the E129, the phone cannot send the login code back to system. I also do not get any login option back on the phone.

Got to Users > Telephony > Supervisor Options and set a logon code in Manager for each user.
That will work a lot better.

i've installed e129 with logout option from the menu (2nd from bottom). not sure why yours different.

Thanks guys but I found the issue. When I originally setup the phone, I logged in through the web browser and entered the user's credentials in the account tab. Evidently when you do it this way, the phone does not show the logout button in the menu. Once I removed the credentials through the web browser, I had to login through the display of the phone and once I did, the logout option appeared in the menu display. Thanks again.
