e-mails come back after deleted

I need help. Our mailserver is hosted thru an outside vendor, we have one computer where the e-mail in MS Outlook 2000, comes back after deleting it.
We made sure that the option "leave message on Server" is not checked.

I run a virusscan twice to make sure no viruses.

Any idea what I can try. Our outside vendor said it is no setting on there server since it is only this specific PC.

In Outlook, go to Tools/Options/Other and select"Empty the Deleted Items Folder upon exiting
