G'day all,

I am looking to provide a solution to a customer. They wish to be able encrypt mail from their organisation to some external recipients (customer organisations). The information to be sent is of a financial nature and hence sensitive. I would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks in advanced ;)
(and to the sales person here who needs to know in less that 24hrs as he is going on leave for 2 weeks! Nice)

At my company we use Sigaba and have had good success with it. In addition, you may even want to look at PGP. Good luck.

If they are using Microsoft Outlook, there is an option to encrypt outgoing mail.

I suspect that Andreh wants it done on the gateway so it's always done and not up to the user. Can you clarify Andreh?

Thanks for the quick responses guys,

From the quick research that I did last night I believe Skialta is on the money. This customer is not too concerned with internal mail encryption. This is more in relation to specific external clients of this customer. Thanks AzDan for the comment. I understand that Outlook has this option but I thought that was more limited to the AD / Exchange org. I stand to be corrected on this.

Being a financial institution, occasionally is required to send 'some' sensitive information to these - but I don't think all mail will require encryption. I think this is quite complex and may be impossible to do. Skialta, Sigaba looks like a very interesting product.

I honestly would like to supply you with more details as it was a real last minute thing. After doing a bit of research I have actually found information relevant to this a bit hard to find. I have confirmed that it is Exchange 2003; I assume enterprise as this org has roughly 1-2000 employees.
