where can i find my email adresses, (in which file are they located).
Or how can i take a backup from my e mail adress book.

Krissie,

We may need a little more information. Are you using Outlook? If so you can import or export your contacts/address book to a file. These options are available off of the File menu.

What exactly are you trying to do?

i'm using Outlook indeed.
i can export my adress book but i never seem to succeed trying to import them.

Krissie,

if you want to import all your emails to a different pc. you'll be able to find a download over the internet which will help you to backup your personal folders. it will also tell you where you can find your outlook personal folders. it is just 1 *.pst file.

Are you using contacts or personal address book. Why don't you try and import *.pab together with *.pst.

I've always had the best results exporting to a CSV (comma seperate value) and importing using the same.

I lay claim to nothing and everything. My words may be wisdom or disaster. In the end you make a choice. Noone is perfect.

i think shmoes idea would be best. Just did it today actually. Export your old email address and save it as a .csv file. Then import (other address book) into your new outlook express. Worked perfect for me.
