Dynamically naming files using a batch file - DTS Package

I have file on an FTP site which I need to move or FTP to new location and rename in increments like :
File1.txt
File2.txt

The OS is WINNT 4.0

I have a DTS PAckage that will execute a series of batch files every night as this process will go on for years.
