Is there any way in CR 9 to dynamically change field positions at runtime? I have a report with 10 data fields that can have anywhere from 1 to 255 characters in each field. If the first field has only 10 characters, for example, I would like the second field to move up underneath the first field and likewise, if the first field has 200 characters I would like the second field to move down so that it doesn’t write over the text on the first field. I suppose I could change my database (right now each field is in a column) and just have one data field in CR but then I would run into the problem of formatting the text (paragraphs, bullets, etc.) in the database. Any ideas?

Just drag & drop all 10 fields into one text object placed on the report layout.

Alternatively, use multiple detail sections (Insert Section Below...).

I guess I just earned a big "Duh!" for my post. Multiple detail sections is the answer. Thanks for the quick response. Now I have all night to finish the report before the presentation tomorrow. Thanks again!
