Hi, i've got a report and what i would like to do is that when the report is run and the parameters appear, i would like to be able to pick a scheme group and then within that scheme group only the schemes for that scheme group appear and preferabley i would prefer this to be dynamic. Is there anyway i can do this?

You are describing a dynamic cascading parameter, which is a feature available in XI. Choose "dynamic" in the parameter set up screen and then add your first field as your first parameter, and the second one just below it. Click on "add parameter" on the right for each. Then in the record selection formula, equate the fields as you usually would:

{table.schemegroup} = {?schemegroup} and
{table.scheme} = {?scheme}

Use the auto-created parameter names in the formula above (I can't remember how they display for cascading parameters).
