Hi,
I have the following issue:

I have one DNS with one forward zone defined and one DHCP server using the dynamic DNS update function in order to keep the DNS always updated.

The DHCP server has several scopes defined representing the different LANs in the company.

When a user is connected to a "scope" (LAN1) the DNS server is well updated by the DHCP server. In the DHCP leases list I can see the status "Leased" for that machine.

However when this user goes to another location and tries to be connected to another "scope" (LAN2) then he gets the IP address from the DHCP server but the DNS server seems to not be updated by the IP address it just gets.

It works only if I remove the entry from the DNS or if the first lease has expired.

Do you know why?

where are you looking at the DNS record? On a DC in the same site as where this user has taken their machine, or one in the site where the user typically is...aka, are you certain at this point that its not a replication convergence issue....
