Had a power outage due to a storm. Now none of my CD player or DVD players/recorders are seen under "my computer". The device manager shows all the devices but all have an exclamation mark by them. 2 are IDE and one is a scsi from a scsi adaptor card. The Bios shows all the devices. My initial conclusion is that the MB is having a problem. However I am not having any problems with any of my software or booting up.
The MB is an ASUS P4C800.
Would anyone have any other ideas or do I have to get a new MB.

Following microsoft script for the registry worked and all the drives are now visible and accessable. Thank you wahnula for for the links.

Thanks for the star...but I can't take complete credit. I read thread602-1356640 and put it in my archive when I saw firewolfrl's solution to a similar issue. Glad you got it sorted out! Long live Tek-Tips!
