I have 3 Citrix Servers that at any givin time a user can log into. They are load balanced so it could be Server 1 today and Server 2 tomorrow. If a user creates a new icon on the desktop, I want to be able to have that icon on the other servers as well.

We do not use Roaming Profiles on our network, so that is not an option. I just want the desktop icons.

Any Thoughts?

I was attemping to use RoboCopy within a logon script but can't fugure out any syntax that would all new and deleted items to propogate to other servers.

I agree with 58sniper. This will redirect the users desktop to a central location on a target server. You could/should do this with My Documents and Application Data as well.

Don't select the option to give users exclusive access, though. If you find yourself having to work with these target directories, you'll have trouble gaining access to them.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

I appreciate all the advice. I think I will try it (configure it over the weekend) and do some testing tomorrow. I hope it works and I get no calls this Monday.

Thanks

Be sure to apply the policy to the citrix/Terminal Servers with Loopback Processing, otherwise your regular desktop users may get the policy as well...(I don't know if this is what you want). Just an FYI!

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

Alread done that. Have a "Citrix Lock Down" GPO with Loopback enabled. Works GREAT. They have Start/Settings/Progams and that is it. Just need now to work on the desktop.

Thanks for the advice.
