We had an issue with our DLT autoloader, so for one full backup we did a backup-to-disk. Now that the autoloader is back online I want to transfer this backup-to-disk onto a tape. Using Backup Exec 9.0 (on a Windows 2000 SP3 box), I created a "New job to duplicate bacukp data". When it starts the status changes to "Loading Media" and I observe that it has taken an overwriteable tape from one of the slots. However, 17 hours later it is still "Loading Media"! Why won't it start writing? There are no related entries in the Event Viewer and Backup Exec seemed content to let it go on forever without giving any error messages. I cancelled the job, power-cycled the autoloader, and restarted BE services. Restarted the job and, 35 minutes later, it's still "Loading Media". Again it has taken a tape from a slot, but does not appear to be running the job. Anyone know what's going on here?
