Yes, somehow, I did it and I have a duplicate fonts folder on my Windows 98 machine. If I try deleting the folder, I get nasty warnings. If I try deleting the contents of the duplicate folder, it deletes the fonts files in the duplicate folder AND in the c:\windows\fonts folder. I right-click the files in the duplicate folder, and the properties read that the font files are in c:\windows fonts, even though I am viewing them in that duplicate folder. I guess it's a pointer thing? 3 questions:
I googled the issue, and my heart sank as I read the 12 steps requiring lots of backups, DOS, and a strong heart. (1) Is there an easier way to get rid of the extra folder?
(2) I have been reduced to moving the folder to c:\windows and calling it "DoNotRemove". Will that hurt anything?
(3) The only way I've found to copy font files is to do a Find for the font file name, and copy it from the Find Results screen to the directory I want
Any dinosaurs or sympathetic folks out there who can help?
