Can anyone give me an example on how the Duplicate Extension command works or is applied.
the Help on this command is not very clear.
Thanks
Pablo

For a group of stations to be duplicated use the following command where the x's are the number of consecutive stations you want to duplicate (station to be duplicated is 4443, and 4500 is the first station to be duplicated of the count)

Command: "duplicate station 4443 start 4500 count xxx"

Let me know if this helps. This is one way.

One thing to pay attention to when using this command: the newly created stations will get the Message Waiting Indication Extension (page 1) of the phone originally duplicated from. Be sure to check and change this field in the new stations you made by using the command.
Need more help? Just put it up here!

Maarten tried to convince us:
"the newly created stations will get the Message Waiting Indication Extension (page 1) of the phone originally duplicated from."

Do they? I can't remember I've ever had this problem, and I've duplicated quite some stations in my life...
Maybe it's a new undocumented feature :)

Cheers,
Nico

The only time I've had the problem with the MWI was when I used a template in DSA. I fixed it by clearing the MWI field on my template.

Oops :-O
That was the mix-up sjforcum! Indeed the Message Lamp Extension field must be cleared in templates in order to prevent the new stations from seeing MWI's from the original...
Too hasty again! :$

Another thing to pay attention to is that,if the station you 're using for duplicate has a coverage path, the duplicated station will have the same coverage path, so ensure to clear that ( i mean in the station you've just created, not in the station you're using for duplicate ).

Hope this helps
