this is dumb but i cant find it anywere....how do you disable telnet to a 2600? i typed in no password and it still connects...the says something then disconnects you? thanx for the help in advance
! (bang if you are a Unix geek) is a remark delimiter. Anything after the bang is a remark until you REMOVE the bang. Then the command is live.
So the actual command is:
line vty 0 4
transport input none
This sets the input transport to nothing valid.. or none. No telnet, ssh, etc.. make sure you have a console cable and port after setting and saving this.
