It doesn't look like this is possible due to the way the CDR is set up in LD 15, but I'll ask. Has anyone on Succession 3.0 or lower ever used multiple CDR Buffers for different things? Such as sending all billable calls to one CDR Buffer box and say all incoming calls/calls to DNs etc....to another Buffer Box. We have a large call volume and are trying to do some different types of reporting.

not sure myself...but this should be something the app you're using should handle

why cant you send all CDR data to one buffer box and the have the app just extract or report on the type of calls youre looking for.... and report on them seperately from other reports

We could send everything to one buffer box. The buffer fills up quickly as is with just the Long Distance Calls. If we started tracking calls to DNs it would fill up in a day. Perhaps once we automate the process, then that would work.

you can send file direct to a pc, using procomm, do a capture,

proc main
loop:
capture on
pause 36000 ;number of sec in 10 hours
capture off
goto loop
endproc

this is a non tested script, but works, change the number of sec required for your file size to be manageable, then use scheduler to tftp the file to any pc, server or shared drive on the system.. in download options you can have the cap files save as the date.cap.. i use this at another site where they use cdr software at one loc and just a excel macro at another location. because of the network i couldn't save to the share, but could send them to a server both users had access to..

most CDR apps hace a scheduler feature to data dump, purge data, etc, and even a continuous extraction if you want so you shouldnt have to worry about the buffer getting full and losing data
