Does anyone know where I can find a good step-by-step guide to setup my XP pro computer as dual boot machine? I already have XP Pro installed on one partition. I have found a few guides, but only having one partition is causing me problems. Is there anyway around reformatting then creating two partitions? (One for XP Pro NTFS and One for ME FAT32)

Thanks in advance,

Wade

You need a third party tool like Partition Magic to avoid wiping drive & creating 2 new partition.

Standard M$ way to dual boot is install older o/s first (so ME then XP in your case) -
If you already have XP installed (your situation) and a spare partition/drive (eg, if you get Partition Magic),
see here
Or, get a third party boot manager (I use - free for personal use & website has useful info). Install ME with XP partition hidden (so ME creates its own boot sector), then use boot-us to set up dual boot menu.

PS. Partition Magic includes a boot manager too (Boot magic).

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much!

Some softwares like 'OS Selector the web site is ' are available in markete, just install it on any old version of windows, then install other Operating system (any one and as much as you want) and every time when you will boot your computer there will be list of all installed operating system then chose any one. Machine will start with that operating system. You do not need even partion of hard drive.
