DTMF/ T-1 Question- Getting Alarm 63 on regular basis

Am I correct in assuming that I have DTMF issues if I have a T-1 with regular Alarm 63 codes? I have a Norstar with 4.1 S/W and users complaining about ring no answer issues almost daily. I have a 6 port combo in providing my DTMF, so would I want to add another combo or services cartridge? The DTI card has physical lines 1-24 configured as E&M.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated..

1 combo is quite suffucient...what does provider say...what did u see on tberd...what release of 4.1...may need to upgrade

Alarm code: 63
Reset:
No
Description:
There are no more DTMF receivers that can be allocated.
Action:
Wait until a DTMF receiver becomes available.
If this alarm occurs frequently and is traffic related, add additional DTMF receivers to the system.
If circuits are copper add second E&M card.
If the circuits are T1 add combination fiber 6-port services cartridge. Each combination fiber 6-port has 5 DTMF receivers. System must be XC to support second combination fiber 6-port services cartridge
BCM has 8 DTMF receivers. There is no way to increase.

Hey LL, thanks for your reply.

The version is 30NDG04. We have not had Telco involved as of yet.

If I have a 6 COMBO in there, can I add a Services Cartridge without going to XC??

i guess..should not be an issue...as long as just a service card..never needed to....do a backup just in case it pukes
