our seb's are set to dce so all seb's may not be the sane. if you think of the c as the clock source, it makes it a little more clear, if the clock has to be the switch as in a dumb term, the term has to be dte and the far end dce, with a us robitics, the clock (sorta) off the network, so the link clocks from the modem.. just for that data stream, not the clock card... that said, a null marries a dte to dte or dce to dce, started this to make it a little clear, now i'm lost.. and i've replaced ONE paddle board in over 30 years, but then i ground my switches
