Hello I am getting the error below:

DSREPAIR-5.0-040: Error writing to log file, log file closed

Has anyone run into this and how can I make it go away?? This server was not done by me. The server runs fine but was locked up tighter than a drum this morning not even the emergency 3 finger salute helped.

When I do however try to run the report in DSREPAIR it says the same thing then all of the sudden it look like it is creating some kind of report, then when I go back to unattended repair it run and might I ad that it has no errors when run. Weird?? To me it is. School is almost out and the server is going to redone this summer just curious if there is anything I can do to help this.

Thanks!!

Not that I can see. The only thing is that it has about 500 mb left on sys. That is all. Other than that the system runs fine.

Try booting the server with server -ndb then run dsrepair. I had a server last wk that I walked into down, everytime would reboot. Took a couple hrs to get back, just to find out ds was corrupt on the master.
