DS1 to DS1 calls

I have 2 DS1 cards in my Definity. One of the DS1 cards is plugged into a PRI for incoming and outgoing calls. The other DS1 is plugged into a fax server. I want to be able to get inbound calls to this fax server for certain DID's. How do I accomplish this task?

The easiest way would be to get Uniform Dial Plan turned on if it not already.. If it is turned on, then its a Piece of cake...



Add your DS1, set the proper clocking settings
Add your trunk group
Add your signaling group
Change UDP for the digits you want to pass
Change AAR analysis
Change route-pattern


Done...


If you do have UDP turned on, I will be more than glad to help you and explain everything in further detail...

I have UDP already turned on can someone help me. I don't want to screw up my existing UDP.

You'll need to setup a UDP pointing a range of extensions/DID to the fax T-1 trunk group. If you wanted to point 2400-2499 to the T-1, you need to pick a UDP code (lets say 225) and change the UDP Table.

Select the trunk-group of the rightfax (lets say trk grp 5) and delete the 3 digit UDP identifier in the route pattern form.
