Hi,

I was wondering if this is possible:

I want to have a drop down box where I can type my search criteria, for example, a name, and as I am typing this name, the drop down box populates with the results from the data base that match what has been typed in (with each letter).

Any help, direction to references on this, or anything else is greatly appreciated :)

that is a nice control, and we talked about making something like that.

however, I also need the items in the drop down to match the items in the database.

i.e. if an S is typed, all records beginning with an S populate the drop down. If an M is typed next, so it now says 'Sm' in the box, only the records that start with Sm are in the drop down, and so on.

it does handle postbacks so you *could* add the code to do just what you are looking for. We have tweaked it a great deal to meet our needs.

nice, I'll take a look at it. thank you!
