Is your HBA configured? Run "cfgadm -al" and look for your WWN 2100001086115474. If the line says "unconfigured" run "cfgadm -c configure c<x>" where <x> is the number of this controller.

Looks like your LTOs are not in /kernel/drv/st.conf
Google says something like this:
Code:
tape-config-list=
"HP Ultrium 2-SCSI","HP Ultrium LTO 2","LTO-data",
"HP Ultrium","HP Ultrium LTO 1","ULTRIUM";
#
ULTRIUM =1,0x36,0,0x2D639,4,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x40,3;
LTO-data =1,0x3b,0,0x2D639,4,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x42,3;
#
name="st" parent="fp" target=0;
As I don't have any LTOs here you should really check this !

Reboot is usually required after changing st.conf config.

... and cfgadm only works with Sun's QLCs and JNIs (integrated in SUNWsan). For other HBAs you have to check the mappings with the appropriate tools (lputil, ezf, ...) or files (lpfc.conf, jnic*.conf, ...)

Thanks for your assistance.My problem is still unresolved.My server was built with the end-user option and I have checked for QUS drivers for Solaris 9 on this server and none was found.Could this be one my problems or don't they matter?.If they matter,what other pkgages should I install to make this work.

Your tapes are on LUN 1 and 2. Did you try to add these LUNs to st.conf:

Code:
name="st" parent="fp" target=0 lun=1;
name="st" parent="fp" target=0 lun=2;

What's the type of your HBAs?

Sun HBA's.I still do not have any output in /dev/rmt

Is SUNWsan (SAN Foundation Suite) installed and patched?
Try "devfsadm -C -c tape".
What's the output of "cfgadm -al -o show_FCP_dev"?

This is the output:
# devfsadm -C -c tape

# pkginfo -l | grep SUNWsan
PKGINST: SUNWsan

# cfgadm -al -o show_FCP_dev

The tapes and disks are zoned together and the L100 is set to ptp instead of fabric.Would these factors contribute to this issue?.

Is this all??? No st*, no sd* ???
Looks like a problem with the sg driver to me.
This sg@w2100001086115474,1:raw is your first tape drive ... but there should be some st@*2100001086115474,1*
Maybe you could remove the sg driver first and do a reconfigure reboot, try to get these tapes configured and then reinstall sg.
