I can't find the disk that came with the device. Since that was a while ago. I have searched like mad but can't find the drivers for download anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

Many of the Net-Lynx PCI cards use Realtek chipsets, so there's a chance that the PCMCIA variety might also use something similar. The RTL8139 chipset is very popular, so might be worth trying drivers for these, if you're desperate and have the time...

Good find Scotsdude... Let's hope it'll work in W2K or XP! [wink]

Sorry to say it didn't - it was a LANTASTIC and a WW3.11 driver!

However

I had a brainwave and as the laptop has firewire I bridged that to my PC and windows update did the job!

So now the question is, how can I find the driver manually from windows update and save it for future use?

Do a search for hidden files with .sys or .info or .oem . View "details" and look for a recent addition. You could do the same with the "System" and "System32" folders. Or, just search for all files created after the time you ran Windows Update in the Advanced Search option. Just make sure hidden files and system files show up in the search.

Unfortunately the update installed a load of other stuff at the same time, so a date search produces a ton of stuff.

try:

ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/pcmpc100v3.exe

ooopppssss... forgot to mention: incase that it does not extract use WinRar to open up the file and extract it... then follow the W2000 install instructions (should work with XP aswell)...

Saved for future use.

I can't test it because XP says no suitable drivers found! LOL - But that might just mean these drivers are older.

I plan to re-install XP on that machine in a few weeks - so I can try it out then.

That they are... ca. 2000 , and probably you wont find any newer than that...

you may have to force them... NETPC100.INF is the installer INF file, may need to be edited to reflect the card...

good luck....
