Driver for Bar code reader

I recently bougt a bar code reader(Symbol LS 2200/2208). Does anyone know where can I get the Linux driver for it or how to use it with the Linux operating sys? It works fine with Windows XP but I need to use it with Linux.

Most barcode readers emulate the keyboard, in that you do not need any drivers to read the barcode. All you need to do is to have a place in your program to accept the input.

Thanks cyoung, I was using the usb but it worked fine with a rs232.
