I have three HDs and one of them had unclaimed space that I tried to reclaim using partition magic 7.0. At the end, on rebooting the drive failed to reboot and came up with the message 'divide overflow error'. The HD gets stuck at that point. Also when I try to boot from other HDs, it hangs on 'windows logo' when the corrupted HD is connected to the system. Also it won't boot from floppy - gives same message - divide overflow error(When I remove corrupted HD from the system, other HDs boot ok and also bootable floppy works). I used Norton Diskeditor and Norton Disk doctor but they can't see the corrupted drive. How to fix this problem? I have important data on the corrupted drive. Please help

See if ytou can boot from FLOPPY with the bad HDD installed. If so, use FDISK /MBR to clear out the master boot record. PMagig might have set a bogus value int he MBR and now when booting of that HDD the BIOS thinks there is boot code there.
