Hi
Everyone for accuracy I have included the entire error. When attempting to image C: to CDRW only! (Everything else works fine)...cannot copy 'F:\Program Files\PowerQuest\Drive Image 2002\VFD\DEFAULT.VFD'to 'F:\Program Files\PowerQuest\Drive Image 2002\VFD\PQVF.VFD'.

Thanks
Elaina

Hi,
From your message you are not copying C: you are copying F: to F:

Please list your system details, particularly your drive configurations.

Also, could you list the steps and selections you make when trying to image your C:

Regards.

Responding to MIS (Drive Image2002)
My drives are; C=main D E F G H=CDRW. Using W98SE. The following command is; initiate app, select drive, select destination, enter file name, options;high compression, check split image, set at 650MB,finish. Screen suggest 2 disc needed. After pressing yes, to finish operation. Get error.
I put DI2002 in F: to avoid problems?!
Thanks
Elaina

Hi,
Bear with me here ~ I am NOT familiar with DriveImage 2002, I use DriveImage 4.0 (I haven't got it to hand to be able to check the version.).

But, unless DriveImage have come on in leaps and bounds, you need to either install the DriveImage programme onto your C: so that when you select the DriveImage option it restarts you in Dos mode OR you need to boot your machine up with DriveImage Dos boot disks.

I don't think you are able to run the application direct from your CD drive (I could be wrong...) and if you can, but are having these problems I would suggest making the Drive Image Dos boot disks if they did not come supplied in the box.

Please let me know how you go on.

Regards.

Win98User is correct (as usual!), I use drive image 2002 and it must be installed. The boot disks are not a neccessity as it will start from Windows and reboot into its own Dos shell but they are useful in case of a crash that locks you out of Windows. Help us to help you, please post back and tell us if this helped.
