Drive Crash Error

When I first book my computer for the day, I get the following error:

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 8007043C from line 44 of d:\nt\com\com1x\src\events\tie r1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

At this time the machine forces a restart, and takes a long time to even recognize my hard drives. Anyone have any information on how to get this to stop? I did reload XP Professional.

Perhaps the first thing you should do is test your ram with this freeware memory tester.
