Drill Down Charts with CR 9.0

Hi:

I am trying to create a report that initially presents a pie chart of summary data that would allow the user to drill into the various slices. Can't seem to do it with CR 9.0, although I did download a sample "World Sales.rpt" from Crystal's web site that does exactly what I am trying to do.

What could I be doing wrong? I am creating the summary fields prior to creating the chart as well as hiding the details section.

Most of the questions and solutions found on this forum are related to older versions of CR, not 9.0.

In the Chart Expert, in the Data tab, did you select Advanced or Group? If you chose Group, you would get drill down even if nothing is surpressed.

However, you really need to supply more info to get a good response. Such as: How many groups are in your report, where you are placing the graph, what kind of graph it is, what section you expect to drill-into when you drill into a slice.

Also, telling us the values you've entered in the Data tab for "On Change Of" and "Show" would be helpful.

Does this mean that if the Advanced Option is used then No Drill Down is available?
