I am already well aware that this is going to be a stupid and simple to solve question, but i am really stuck.
I posted a thread "putting my site on the web" the best reply said that i should change my file names to remove the ## i had put there. but when i try to rename the files i lose the details. the file names im changing are mainly frames but not all! any help on this simple matter would let me rename files withour losing them and get my creation on the web!

Thanks!

dvid!
what file are u exactly "loosing"......don't get offended but u can not loose files just because u renamed them!
Your links will need fixing where u used to have :
<a href=&quot;#my_page.html&quot;>link</a>
that now needs to be:
<a href=&quot;my_page.html&quot;>link</a>
also considering the &quot;target&quot; aspect....
anyhow
all the best!

i explained badly... my pages have frames in them, i need to change the names of these frames to get rid of the #

eg. they are called home##.htm

On my webpage that the only file in the home page that opens is the one without a ' in the filename

when i rename them the frames are no longer on page and i get the cannot display page window where the frame used to be. i hope this explanation is a little clearer

&quot;my pages have frames in them, &quot;
my frames have pages in them ->I hope :)

get the main file and do the above mantioned....main file being the Index.htm or whatever is called...there is only 1 frameset that should point-link to the rest of the pages...
rename the pages 1st and then adjust your frameset to point to them...
alll the best

if re-naming doesn't work - don't re-name them.
open them in DW & &quot;save as&quot; with normal names as new files.
question:
Why are you using so many frames?
What about includes or server.execute's?
