When setting up your templates, where do you store the graphics for those templates? As /images in the Templates folder?

This is a site that will be used in conjunction with Contribute 3.0.

Thanks!

store your images in an image folder in your root folder, the templates auto update the links when you apply them to pages

Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

Thanks. This is going to be for a very very large site so the images folder in the root may become very large. That's why I was wondering if it was better to keep those template images with the templates folder.

Thanks,
Lexus

if the image folder is going to become too bloated, you can do one of two things- have an images folder inside each sub folder, or have sub folders inside the main images folder, only do this if you are going to need to find specific images quickly.

Because this will be for a school district and lots of teachers with their own subfolders, image folders will be in each teacher's folder.

My question was for the templates. Should the template images be in /Templates/images

Thanks..

No.
Templates link to external image folders, and when you create pages from the templates, they fix the links for the page you have created.
With DWMX, you don't even upload the templates folder, so you certainly want your images outside the templates folder.

That makes sense. But the Templates folder will need to be uploaded as this will be working in conjuntion with Contribute.
Thanks, DaRNCat!

Great idea! /imagestemplates could even be a separate images folder...

Any reason why that wouldn't work? And that would be great for keeping them all sorted out. I have no idea how many images these templates will wind up with!
