I am trying to develope a "content managed system" using MSAccess (its all they want to spring for). I have been able to build the pages ok, but have a question regarding text formatting. How can I get Dreamweaver to format the text as it is stored in the database? As it is now, the text is displayed without the original line breaks, paragraph breaks or punctuation as the client cuts and pastes from MSWord. Any ideas?

how is it stored in DB?
with html tags?

u would store html tags along with content and then output the the code into the page

All the best!

ok, I got that, although I feel that trying to get certain folks to understand what HTML tags are is like trying to get a dog to read, it's possible but unlikely...and I guess the tags are doable, but if there are links or other tags then there be trouble...

I would like a way to be able to have the client write their document in word and upload it then be displayed on the web page, any ideas on how I could link a file to open in a certain "frame" or layer?

thanks for the consideration...

ok, but that uis whole antother area...take a look at :
