Sorry,
Basically want I want to do is sort about 190 Visio drawings. For example, sort by Site location, Cable Specs, Site Configuration.
All the drawing are in one folder, but without going through and adjusting every drawing, I thought there might be an easier way. All drawing have already got there own registered drawing number, but would like something to tie them into groups.
At the moment, if something changes, I have to go through every drawing to see if a drawing needs changing.
What I thought would be great is to have a series of drawings grouped, then view that particular group and make adjustments when needed.
Am I being a litle bit optimistic thinking that Bill would of thought of this when he started to produce this program.

Is there anything in the drawing that can be used as references. If so you could create a program to read through all the drawings in the folder and add the information along with the name of the drawing to a database (Access, Excel or whatever). You can then check the database to see if you modify item x, which drawings are affected.
Bill had no say in the creation of Visio. It was created by a company called Shapeware, that changed their name to Visio and finally, after the release of Visio 2000, they "merged" with MS.
